The grid is in a heavy Cor-Ten steel ring. This material will form an oxidation layer due to the weather, but will not rust through due to its special properties.

The grill grate is made of stainless steel and has very robust bars of 7 mm diameter! (that is quickly 10 x thicker than a normal stainless steel grate)
