The compact set can easily be shipped throughout Europe and with the clear instructions for use you can make your own unique tripod barbecue. Anyone can do it! (tested by several left hands).
Make it from branches, poles, oars, banisters, broomsticks, you name it! Then it's a matter of inviting friends to steal the show!
The model was improved, and after 1 year the new version came on the market.
Sustainability, among other things, was addressed by choosing durable Cor-Ten steel. The design was also modified so that shipping and storage were easier.
This model, called the fire carrier 2.0, is still being sold.

The fire carriers were positively received in the market. The ease of use was thoroughly thought out and, today, the design still appeals to many.
Yet the fire carrier was not the perfect answer to Sjors Mouthaan's vision. Minimalism, back to basics and experience are important criteria here. Even though the fire carrier gives a lot of substance to this, it can be even more minimalist, even more back to basic and the experience could be even better. How? By unpacking the specially developed hoist mechanism from the fire carrier and developing it into a stand-alone product:
